Slow Going

My birthday has come and gone, but I enjoyed the time I spent with my boyfriend. He got me a personal cake that we sheared, and bought me a whole outfit to keep cool in. This California heat is killing me, but things seem to be getting better. Hopefully I can find a job soon to keep me busy, and I can work on my book more regularly. I have been distracted again by video games or maybe I'm just stalling because of the reviews I keep getting on Book Country. Whatever it is I need to snap out of it soon. I only have 28,000 more words left to write, and then I can fix all the clerical errors.

Overall Feedback
First of all, you've uploaded too much. Just do a few at a
time. I'm only going to read 3 chapters and base my reviews
on it. You do need to proofread for spelling errors
(crowd, minute) and weed out passive words and -ly words.
You're missing tags for dialogue too. Long senences. Your
chapters are too short--don't title them Use single quotes
for inside dialogue, doubles for outside. I think you need
to proofread this.
As for paranormal romance, it has paranormal elements in it.
Unless the romance comes in later, I don't see it. Plus the
title isn't catchy enough for PNR. But you have an ideal
concept.

Character Development
You need a bit more backstory and description on Brock. You
have very little. Tell us how they became vampires. I suggest
you read other PNR authors like Keri Arthur and Lara Adrian.

Pacing
Due to short chapters, it's going very fast. Slow it down a
little. Add backstory, description, action. This need a lot
of work!

First of all I will be professional and not resort to name calling, and so you know this review was by a everyday person like you or I. Now the first problem I have with this is that if you want to learn more about a character then you will have to read more than three chapters. Hence, why I uploaded so much. Second is no person is just going to jump into bed with someone so of course the first few chapters don't have alot of romance. You have to get to know the characters first, and, for the record, A Vampire's Demons is a great title. I also own every Keri Arthur book and some Lara Adrian so *childishly sticks my tongue out*. Next, the book's chapters are small due to the different views I give for the same situation. You don't just hear her side of the story, but enjoy both interpretations of an event. Then finally, the story moves so fast for a reason, and that is because there is so much story to tell. Getting into a relationship isn't a easy thing so why on earth would it be so in a romance novel? Answer: It's not. So that is my feelings toward my first review.

Huge technical glitch

My book is officially on hold after some tragic recent events, but hopefully they will be fixed soon. My boyfriend dropped my poor computer and the screen is totally destroyed. V_V a moment of silence for our fallen comrade.............................................Thank you. I'll post again soon if I get a new computer. Much love!

Bad luck?

The other day before I started writing I went for a walk in the park by my house. Well as I was on my way a little stray black cat crossed my path. I'm not the superstitious type so I didn't think anything of it at the time, but when I got home I couldn't write a word. Every time I even strung a sentence together it didn't come out right at all, and I'd have to hit the backspace key. Lets just say it was hit so much I probably have a restraining order from it. When I finally gave up I remembered the cat, and hoped its next bowl of milk was out of date.

60,000 words or Bust!

Today I reached 24,000 words in my book so far, and I'm so excited that I'm almost halfway there. After posting up in front of my computer a demanded my brain give me at least five pages a day. So far it has been working, and I feel like I made it to the down slope of a hill. My characters are forming nicely, and the story is getting good. The biggist obstical now is the days my boyfriend doesn't work. He is constantly hindering my writing, and it gets to the point I want to tie him up (not in a fun way) and throw him in the closet. Needy males and their attention hogging ways!

Wanna Read a few Chapters?

The other day I herd about a website for beginning writers and joined. It's awesome because you get to upload your book as you like and others can view it and critique it to help you out. My current work in progress is on there at http://www.bookcountry.com/Members/Profile.aspx?id=21dfd9b9-6c65-45ec-a07c-e4b3aa8d242d. You can read the first four chapters by just clicking the little purple book. Also I realized the other day while i was looking at other people's books that my way of writing is very scrunched up. I may have alot more pages then I thought I had because I'm writing it in big paragraphs when others break it up. I wish I knew how to do that, but maybe I can get an amazing editor to help me spread out my story. If you are one or know someone that can help me out for free, send me a message. Plus this is kind of what the main character of mt book looks like, and all I can say is: Yummy.

Tomorrow Tomorrow

Well my boyfriend starts work tomorrow so I'll have the place to myself. Yep no distractions for me because all I am going to do is get in the zone and shell out pages (hopefully). I would like to ask other writers how they just keep writing and not get off course. Maybe some of it will help me, and I can finish my book and give it to an editor. Now that's a wet dream right there. ^_^
